The fibre factor:
Water-soluble fibre helps slow the entry of glucose sugar into the bloodstream and also binds with bile acids thus helping to lower LDL (bad cholesterol) levels It also softens the bowel content. Insoluble fibre helps eliminate toxins from the body & to move food quickly through the system.

Effects of low fible intake:
The most common problem is constipation worsened by lack of exercise & enough fluids . You could also be overweight. There's proof that lack of fibre in diet can increase the risk for colon & rectal cancer. For further information, click here
